Battlestar Galactica
We get a visit
from the actor famous for bringing Captain Kirk to
life in the original 'Star Trek' series.
By Josh Lawrence
"Beam me up, Scotty." The world
of 20th-century entertainment would not be the same
without that phrase or the man who voiced it, William
Shatner. Actor, director, singer, and author
Shatner, who played Captain James T. Kirk in the original
Star
Trek television series, visits our show
tonight to chat with Leo about his upcoming downloadable
cellphone
ringtones and more.
"Star Trek," which aired from
1966 to 1969, broke new ground in science-fiction
television with its ethnically diverse cast and humanist
message. It eventually spawned a continually growing
'Star Trek' universe, including nine movies,
four spin-off television series, and even a 1970's
Saturday-morning cartoon voiced by the original
cast members!
